Well the Masters Golf Tournament just ended and congratulations to Angel Cabrera for winning this prestigious event, and give it up to Chad Campbell and Ken Perry as this tournament was taken into sudden death. Angel Cabrera will take home the Green Jacket as the champion of this tournament, however he has to return it next year. The jacket is kept in the champions locker room and each champion has access to theirs only while they are at Augusta National. Gary Player is the only golfer who still holds a jacket in his home, however says that he has never worn it. We all know about the Green Jacket but what other traditions make the Masters a tournament that we all want to watch.
The Course:
The Masters has been played at the same course since 1934 after Bobby Jones constructed the course and opened it in 1933. Every other Major is held at different tournaments.
The Champions Dinner:
The Tuesday prior to the event there is a dinner that is held, this dinner is selected and paid for by the previous year winner. Tiger Woods one year selected cheeseburgers and milkshakes, I guess he thought he could not afford to pay for all those meals?
Pimento Cheese Sandwiches:
No hot dogs and nachos at this tournament, eight different types of sandwiches and the pimento cheese is the one to get.
The Caddies:
These guys look like they just got out of prison and are on the chain gang in their traditional white jumpsuit and green hat. At least for four days these guys do not need to worry about what they are going to wear.
